These terms are the agreement between you and Tapstall when you use our website, our seller app or a shop on Tapstall. By using them, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. They're written to be read: if something isn't clear, ask us on WhatsApp at 050 064 6358 or email [email protected].

What Tapstall is

Tapstall gives sellers an online store, a link to share it, and an order book. When you buy from a shop, you're buying from that seller, not from Tapstall. The seller is responsible for what they sell, its price and description, delivery, and refunds.

For sellers

Your account

  • You must be 18 or over, and the phone number you sign in with must be yours.
  • Keep your phone safe: anyone with your sign-in code can get into your store. Tell us straight away if you lose your phone.
  • You're responsible for helpers you add, and what they do in your store.

What you can sell

You agree not to use Tapstall to sell or offer:

  • anything illegal in Ghana, or stolen
  • fake or counterfeit goods, or goods described as something they're not
  • weapons, drugs, or anything else that needs a licence you don't have
  • anything that deceives, harasses or harms people

Treating buyers fairly

  • Describe and price your items honestly, and use photos of what you actually sell.
  • Honour the orders you confirm, or tell the buyer quickly if you can't.
  • Use your customers' details only for their orders and for staying in touch with them, and look after them.
  • Don't post reviews of your own store, or record orders that didn't happen to get them.

Your content

Your store's name, photos and descriptions stay yours. You let us show them on your store, in the shops directory if you turn it on, and in link previews, so we can run the service. You confirm you have the right to use them.

Fees

Tapstall is free to use. If we ever introduce a charge, such as a fee on online payments, we'll tell you at least 30 days before, and nothing will be charged without you agreeing to it.

For buyers

  • Your order goes to the seller, who confirms it with you, usually on WhatsApp, and agrees delivery and payment.
  • Pay the seller as you agree with them. We don't hold your money.
  • If something goes wrong with an order, talk to the seller first. If they don't help, or you think a shop is a scam, tell us.
  • Reviews must be about your real order, honest, and free of insults or personal details.

What we can do

  • We can hide a review, take a store out of the directory, or suspend a store that breaks these terms. We tell the store's owner why.
  • We can change or stop parts of the service. For anything that matters to sellers, we'll give notice in the app first.

Things we can't promise

We work hard to keep Tapstall running and your data safe, but we provide it as it is, and we can't promise it will never be unavailable or have mistakes. Keep your own records of anything important. As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for losses from a seller's or buyer's actions, or for indirect losses such as lost sales. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Ghanaian law.

Leaving

You can stop using Tapstall at any time, and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy). We can close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Changes and the law

When these terms change, we'll update the date at the top, and tell sellers in the app about changes that matter. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
